How to stay motivated ahead of the trial exams

Aug 5, 2021

With the delay of Trial Exams in Sydney thanks to the Lockdown, maintaining motivation and momentum to continue your exam preparation is certainly a challenge!

Motivation is the key to HSC success – but it’s not so easy, especially during a lockdown. At CoWorks we encourage students to maintain motivation by ‘staying in vision’. Having a vision means you create a WHY, and having a WHY provides you with that much needed encouragement, motivation, and energy during those long study days and nights at home. Your vision can be anything from beating a sibling, getting a 90+ ATAR, or getting to schoolies with no regrets – anything that pushes you to do and be your best.

With trial exams delayed by lockdown, staying in vision is more important than ever. So, join Jesse on this video to learn more about what having a vision means and what it can do for your HSC journey.

At HSC CoWorks, we emphasise the power of mindmaps for a student’s daily syllabus training. Mindmaps help students break down complex topics, see connections, and retain information more effectively. They’re an essential tool for organised study, making sure no part of the syllabus is overlooked, and empowering students to approach their HSC with confidence and clarity.
How would you feel if you knew the syllabus as well as the top HSC students?
How confident would you feel to attempt practice questions and essays if you knew the syllabus for the topic inside and out?
How ready would you be for an exam if you were taking a roadmap of the syllabus into the exam room with you.. inside of your brain?
Mindmaps take 5-10mins and should be a daily practice for any HSC student. #hsc2025 #hsccoworks #hscstudytips
